Pots, ladles and …lots of enthusiasm! The first pilot course of the Italian Food Academy in Nairobi was launched last 4th August in high style. 150 attendees took part to the opening party, enjoying a tasty preview of the study subjects at the schools: from pasta to focaccia and cakes, any course was the mark of the most authentic Italian tradition.
The training is in full swing now. The 18 guys learning the cooking art are showing great skills. Guided by teachers from Food and Wine Institute Carlo Porta in Milano, the students are going to learn more than 180 recipes in 3 months.
At the beginning of November, when the training route is ended, it is scheduled the graduation ceremony.
The Academy promoted by Alice for Children is addressed to the boys from Nairobi favelas, strongly decided to become great Italian chefs.
